Hello! We are Bob’s Boards surf label and we are happy to share the magic process of creating a surfboard and showcase the final product here.
We’re Sam and Ana, a creative couple, the lucky ones living by the sea and surfing every day if we wish.
Sam also known as Bob is a surfboard shaper from the UK. He started making boards in England, on his mum’s kitchen table. Then progressed to the garage in Leeds, being an engineer and building cars by day and shaping boards by night. In 2013 he quit his job to become a surf instructor and moved to the Algarve to enjoy amazing waves of the Atlantic. Sam continued shaping and fixing boards in Lagos.
He met Anastasia with her passion for yoga, surf, art and visual expression. Originally from Russia she lived in Italy working in fashion and graphic design. She left it all for surfing in the south of Portugal as well and now gives a unique look to every surfboard. With a fashion background it was obvious for her to initiate Bob’s Boards apparel line.
Bob’s Boards is a project that unites surf, art & style in the such casual things like your surfboard and your T-shirt.
